Makers Jam 2024
Thrilled to be sharing insights from our recently held MAKERS JAM competition for all our past and present students to showcase their programming skills.
Participants were given a brief requirement; they then had to program their game in a programming language of choice. They had two weeks to complete their project on the Digimaker LMS platform, in either Scratch OR Python.
- 72% of the participants implemented 3 or more features given in the requirements
- participants were from age 8-16 years. 64% of students are in age group 8-10 years, 23% in 11-13 years and 13% in 14-16 years.
- 76% of projects have been programmed in Scratch, and 24% in Python programming language
- Participants were across the following partner schools: Boroondara Park Primary School, Hampton Primary School, Huntingdale Primary School, Malvern Valley Primary School, Mckinnon Primary School, Mont Albert Primary School, Mount Waverley Heights Primary School, Oakleigh Grammar, Old Orchard Primary School, Presbyterian Ladies' College Melbourne, Sacred Heart Primary School Kew, Templeton primary school Wantirna, Tinternvale Primary School, Wattle Park Primary School
Interviews were held with several participants, out of which 5 projects are being showcased on Digimaker social media platforms.
